The start of the trail is a gravel road that is gated off from traffic and is part of the bike path to Moonlight beach. The trail turns off the road and follows the base of a small hill through mixed forest. There has been sightings of rabbits and moose in the area. There are lots of geese around the lake in the summer months.

Directions:
Turn onto Ramsey Lake road at Science north and travel for 2km to the turnoff for South Bay road. Follow South Bay road past the conservation area turn off and continue .5 km untill you get to the parking area at the Boi Ski Chalet
