One of our members, member "wespresso" is undertaking a fundraising voyage down the West Coast of Vancouver Island, from Port Hardy, to Victoria along the most challenging seas of the West Coast of Vancouver Island.

"This epic paddle down the Wild West Coast of Vancouver Island was inspired by a friend, this journey came about by fluke and now I am very excited to partake in this month long voyage! We will be leaving from Port Hardy at the North end of the Island, rounding Cape Scott and paddling south all the way to Victoria. We will face many challenges along the way, fog, heavy rain, big surf, insects, strong currents, wildlife and look forward to all trials and tribulations we will face on this journey and hope you will support me come up with $5 or $10 and help me raise $300 to help protect the wild places in Canada!
I know a lot of people and hope you will all take the time to donate a couple bucks each for the Big Wild (an MEC initiative) to help protect our natural playgrounds.
