Regarding trail Mt. Robson Prov Park - Berg Lake near Valemount, BC

Hi I have read a lot on this hike but still it is not clear to me... is this a hike in, hike out trail? Or do people make logistical arrangements to hike in, get off the trail and have transport waiting at Berg Lake? I guess my question is... Is there a trail point in which you can get off at Berg Lake or do you have to come back to the true trailhead?

This trail is a hike in/hike out type. There is one route that you take to Berg Lake and you return along the same path. I met a group of people when I backpacked up there that hiked it as a point-to-point starting in Jasper Park and hiking through but they had to improvise their own trail on the Jasper side they said.

So simple answer to your question: You must return along the same path on the way down as you took going up to return to your vehicle

This is a hike in hike out trail. I suggest an extra day at Berg lake and take a day hike to Snowbird pass well worth it.
