Regarding trail Lake Agnes Teahouse - Big Beehive near Banff, AB
http://www.trailpeak.com/trail-Lake-Agnes-Teahouse-Big-Beehive-near-Banff-AB-2629
Is this accessible in the winter time on snowshoes? It says it is but looking at pictures of the area seems like it would be quite steep with snow?
I'm planning on going there next weekend staying at the Fairmont and would love to get some time up there.
Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated. thanks. |

I 've heard of folks snowshoe'ing to Lake Agnes in winter (the teahouse will be closed though). It will be quite a workout in winter with snowshoes. Strongly reccommend that you check at the hotel or the info centre in Banff townsite about avalanche conditions on these hiking trails (you're probably ok to Lake Agnes but I am not sure about beyond to Big Beehive or alternatively Little Beehive.) |
