On the Flag Staff Hill Hiking Trail you follow a path lined with rocks painted with the elements of the Labrador Flag. There are many berries and plants a long the path as well. At the top of Flagstaff Hill you will notice a gazebo as well as two old cannons put there by Captain George Cartwright to guard the entrance into Cartwright harbour. From the top of the Hill you can also see a portion of the Porcupine Strand, a 40 km sandy beach that the Vikings called the "Wonderstrand".
