This trail starts out at the parking lot following a pond crossing a brook to a sandy beach on the ocean. The trail completes a circle from here and either direction is spectacular. The trail consists of a combination of boardwalk's, gravel and beach sand. There are three lookouts where you can rest up and have a lunch. It has two old graveyard's from the now abandoned settlement's. There is lot's to see, including geese, duck's, seabird's of many varietie's, whale's, fishing boat's, even seal's at certain times of the year.
Coming from east on the TCH route1, take route 320 at Gambo. Turn off at Cape Freel's, about 85km/1.5 hr drive.
Comming from west on route 1 turn off at Gander on route 330. Turn off at Cape Freel's, about 2hr drive.
When entering Cape Freel's you will see a dirt road to the right follow it toward's the ocean. This road is a little rough near the beach but passable for the smallest vehicles.
