The Ravine trail starts off with a fairly steep climb of maybe sixty feet. A little slippery after a rainfall. The trail levels off into quiet paths through the woods. The trail is marked by white blazes and is very simple to follow. As the trail meets its half way point, you branch off and follow a ravine all the way back to the road. This ravine features small yet beautiful waterfalls almost year round and amazing ice in the winter. It is easy to forget you're still in Connecticut!
Take exit 81W off of 395 and get onto route 32 north. Follow route 32 until Plains Rd. Turn right onto Plains Rd. and follow it until it bears left onto Under The Mountian Rd. At the end of the road, you should see a pull off across the street. Parking is permitted in this space.
