Canoeing, River Kayaking
Summer, Fall, Winter
Cranberry Pond is a small pond at the foot of Mt Toby State Forest in Sunderland. It is quiet water and has a very easy parking and access point. It is great for a morning or afternoon paddle. Not too many folks go here, so if you are looking for some peace in the woods of western Mass, this is a great place. There is a railroad running through the East side of the pond which is used quite infrequently. Good for beginners and kids.
Mt Toby State Forest is set between Rt 47 and Rt 63 in Sunderland. Go up 47 and Reservation Road is on the right. Go down Reservation Road and parking for the pond is a few miles down the road. Have fun.

I am new in the area, does anybody know if it's possible to rent kayaks there?
