This is a great trail, but a bit slippery in winter. It connects to a whole network of trails with about 5 different ways to finish your ride. There is a decent amount of drops, launches, and a few gaps. Start at Forbidden Plateau for a couple of sickos on the way down. Some sweet scenery stops along the way. Very popular trail for the locals, and quite well maintained.
Directions:
Drive the Forbidden Plateau Rd. from Courtenay. Either park at Nymph Falls and ride up, or shuttle from the Forbidden ski hill parking lot at the end of the road. The trail starts at a bend in the road about 4/5 of the way up, but you can connect to it from the parking lot via a fast trail with some big gappers on it.
Sorry directions weren't available. Please check the bottom of the description.

CommentA very good downhill run which actually takes 2 hours to ride from the top.Definately use a shuttle truck to get you and the bikes to the top.The ride up the hill will take out of you the energy you'll need to get down in good style and clean most of the tricks.More options to branch off onto all the time. Some got real steeps and others offer xc and freestyle mixed before dropping you down to comox lk. or nearby depending on what trail choices you make. Two bike shops near to choose from;(1)Mikes bikes on Lake trail rd. on the way there and(2)Dodge city cycles in Cumberland if you ride there from the lake.
