Description

This cliff is not quite 50 feet, maybe 25-35, but do not underestimate its difficulty from its height. The cliff overhangs enough to make it distinctly hard for advanced climbers. The easiest climb here is 5.9 and the cliff consists of big holds and lots of sloppers.

Directions:

From Route 84: Take exit 68. Follow Route 195 south untill you enter the University of CT. Turn Left onto Gurleyville Rd. Follow Gurleyville until you get to an awkward 4 way stop. Take a right onto Chaffeeville Rd. follow for about 3 miles. You will pass Mulberry Rd. on your left, about .2 miles down the road on the right there will be a small dirt road you want to take. About 50 feet up the road go left and park next to the Nipmuck Trail (blue markers) which goes up a steep hill on your right. Follow to the top of the hill and 50 foot will be the second (non-moss-covered) cliff. You should find pieces of rug and weights from the local climbers.
