This trail start on the rim of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and drops to the river below. You start at approximately 2400 meters and drop to about 2010 meters when you get to the river. The trail is relatively flat for the first 5 kilometers but drops 390 meters in 3 kilometers.

Make sure you bring enough water as there is no water source on the trail until you reach the river. It offers a beautiful view of the Canyon and some thermal areas. You can make this trip an overnighter as well. 2 Camp site exist near the river.

Directions:

Drive east from the Canyon Junction for 1.5 kilometers and park on the left side of the one way drive. Just before the Inspiration Point viewpoint.
