This little trail (yellow blazed) is a great opportunity for those new to hiking to become exposed to some of the natural features of the Piedmont in Northern Delaware. There are some minor inclines and you get a great view when you reach the end of the trailhead. This was my daughter's first hike and she has been hooked ever since.
Directions:
Go north on US 202 (Concord Pike) from I-95. Take a left at the light for DE 141 and continue west for 2 miles. Turn left at the light for Alapocas Drive and turn right at the entrance towards the county ball fields. The parking lot will be behind one of the DuPont buildings.
