Location is everything. Bald Mountain is a moderate mountain that hands out a big adventure.
The 2,443-foot mountain is located on prime public land sandwiched between Mooselookmeguntic and Rangeley Lakes near the active village of Oquossoc. Bald Mountain is a bit of a misleading name.
This Mountain is composed of boulder slides, granite faces, and ledges that are prime for photo ops.
Another perk of climbing this mountian is that there is open water access for some water adventuring.

There are 3 trail head location found off of U.S. Rt 16.
