Bertha Falls is a popular family destination which starts from Waterton townsite. The trail follows around the contours of lofty Bertha Peak, which forms the backdrop for the townsite campgrounds.
This is a well travelled trail (especially on weekends), which offers excellent views down the full length of Waterton Lake. There are several strategically placed benches for those not accustomed to hiking.
At 1.5km, a spur branches off to the left for a viewpoint. Another 50m further, the Lakeshore Trail branches off to the left.

UpsideThis was a great scramble and there is a photo at the summit of the mysterious woman whom the mountain is named after. Worth the climb to find the photo
