This trail is located within the Reading Town Forest. It begins directly behind the trail sign and follows a ridge to an overlook of the Point One Parking area. (You should have the Ipswich River on your left). The trail then doubles back south, crossing a road. Continue south until another road intersects the trail. The trail then drops to the right and follows a dirt road. You will pass the "old council ring" on your right and pump house on the left. As you emerge from the pines the dirt road comes to a fork. The right will take you to Scrub Oak Hill, going left takes you to the Ipswich River then the trail cuts back into the woods along the southeast. (look for the yellow arrows to mark the trail. Follow the yellow markers and after a few turns you'll come to the top of the cliff overlooking the junction of well traveled road. After 1 mile, the trail returns to the trail sign.
