Awsome secret hike!! Park in the silvermine lake parking lot...The begginning of the trail is hidden to the far left of the old ski lift..it runs along the lake and connects with the red and white Appalachian trail. Awsome shelter. Def suggest following the red and white trail east behind the shelter. At the second scenic overlook there are 2 secret camp spots behind you..lol. Both with fire pits. Great view of the hudson and NYC in the distance..
Directions:
Bear Mountain Bridge to the Palasades Pkwy..take Exit 18 and follow signs for seven lakes drive.
