A very nice walk that starts up an abandoned logging road and quickly leads into a thick forest (about 15 minutes of moderate uphill). You will cross the river on a footbridge. There is a bench at the top of the hill where you can sit down and enjoy a view of the valley. On the way down you will arrive at Warspite Lake with cool towering rock walls. Interpretive bruchures can be found at the trailhead.
Current conditions:
Directions:
From Hwy 1, take the Hwy 40 exit and head south for about 50 km. Turn right (west) onto the Kananaskis Lakes Trail. Drive 2.2 km down this road and turn right (south) onto the Smith-Dorrien/Spray Trail (also known as Hwy 742), and drive for 8 km to the Mt. Black Prince Day Use area.

UpsideA re-write of my post above. THe interpretive trail is interesting
DownsideWhat I meant to write previously: There no longer is a decent view at Warspite Lake. There is no water in Warspite lake, it's Warspite puddle at best now.
CommentIt's the start of the trail Black Prince Lakes
