This route is at the mouth of the campbell river. IT can be started from a few spots, one being the boat and the other from the opposite side on spit raod.
This is a very gentle and quiet area with allot of wildlife and lush surroundings. Over the years heavy industry has been nugded out and with volunteers it is being restored to it original natural state. Depending on the tides the river and estuary can be very full or running a little faster. Take your time exploring all the nooks and crannies. Each time you will see something different.
Access to this area is from the boat ramp off of the island highway, or you can put in off of the spit side.
