Cochrane has river pathway similar to those in Calgary, it alternates between paved and red shale. It's a pleasant ride or walk along the north side of the Bow river.

Total length from Cochrane ranch and return (doing both east and west segments) is about 17 km, but you can choose, to do any part as desired.

NTS Map: 082O01

Elevation Gain: Negligible.

Directions:

Accessible from multiple points.

Near High way 22 bridge there is river access.

Park at Cochrane ranch, west end of parking lot there is path leading under the road. Following that path for 2 km lead to fork where you can choose either east or west section of river pathway.
