Cooper River is an extreamly wide river that runs through Camden county. It boasts one of the straightest river sections in the country. This makes it home to High School and College rowing regattas(www.camdencounty.gov for events schedule).
When there isn't a regatta going on this is a great river to play on with any type of kayak from short recreational boats to longer touring ones. There is a concreate boat ramp by the main parking area. There is a small hidden fishing platform near the gazebo across the small bridge.
