Pretty easy to get to and great for a day of fun trad and/or top rope climbing. Routes go from really easy (on the "practice wall") to pretty tough (but still fun, of course!), and are anywhere from 20 to over 100 ft.
Also, there's a beach across the street from where the cliffs are so you can chill out and swim after a hard day of climbing!
Supposedly, you are supposed to get a permit to climb here. I never have, and have never been asked to show one. But if you really want to, you can go to the park office and get one...
Directions:
Leominster State Forest is located in north-central Massachusetts.
From east or west: Take Rte. 2 to Rte 31 South (exit 28)
From Worcester area: Rte. 190 North to Rte 140 North (exit 5) to Rte 31 North
From north: From the North end of I-495 go South, Merge onto MA-2 West Exit 29B toward Leomisnter. Take Exit 28 off MA-2
Take Left onto MA-31 Continue MA-31 South Park Office on Right.
