There are trails that take you up to a fire tower on Moore's Hill, elevation 1,697

feet. They can be walked, snowshoed, or cross country skied.

There is boating on a small lake and camping at the State Park.

Directions:

The parking lot to the D.A.R. State Forest is off of MA-9. The entrance to the State

Park is well marked and there is a small entry fee for parking. Park in the lot by

the ranger's office. Walk to the dirt road and take a left. There are trail maps

available at the ranger station. The trail is outlined in the guide Hiking The Pioneer

Valley by Bruce Scofield.
