Description

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY:intermediate ESTIMATED TIME: 11 km/ one hour ACCESS: Follow Highway 101, 10 km west of Gibsons. Turn right on the Roberts Creek Forest Service road, (500 meters before Cliff Gilker Park) drive 4.5 km up the Roberts Creek F.S.R. to an intersection. Stay on the main road. Four kilometers further there is an intersection following a short steep descent. Park near the intersection. For safety reasons ensure that your vehicle is completely off the road.

ROUTE: The route is marked counter-clockwise begins at the intersection of the Roberts Creek F.S.R. and the Dakota Creek F.S.R.. From the intersection follow the Dakota Main north-east (right) for 5 km. At the “t” go left and left again at the second fork. You will be traveling along the gas line access. Follow this access road to the junction and again turn left. Two kilometers further you will come to another intersection. Go left to return to the beginning of the loop. The right fork leads to Field Road along the Roberts Creek Loop Route

POINTS OF INTEREST: Panoramic views of the Tetrahedron, Howe Sound and Dakota Creek.
