Dallas Road in Victoria is a popular launching spot for wind surfing and para-sailing enthusiasts. The ample parking, a clear gravel beach, easy access, and strong on-shore winds are fantastic, making this a busy spot for an afternoon escape from the office.
The drawback is a lack of change facilities, but Starbucks and the Mocha House nearby on Cook Street Offer make up for it.
Directions:
Turn left from Douglas Street onto Dallas Road, and park along the stretch of road just past Beacon Hill Park's Circle Drive. A quick scamble down to the beach, but two trips for your board and sails.
