A very easy and short trail that leads to Dawson Falls. It takes an hour if you take your time, but is worth the short stroll. the falls are very cool and there are a few spots along the way to take pictures.
follow the clearwater valley road north from clearwater BC. This is the road that leads into Wells Grey park. The Dawson Falls trailhead is on the east side of the road, about 41 km up the highway from clearwater. stop at the info booth at the intersection of the yellowhead and Clearwater Valley road and get a park map. they are free and useful.

UpsideBeautiful walk through the cedars with the sound of the falls beside you. DownsideMany tourists. There is a parking spot on the side of the road that is reserved for tour buses only. CommentWas here last weekend... the trail to the viewing platform is not difficult at all, almost like walking down a dirt sidewalk. The first viewing platform you reach gives you a 'photographers view' of the falls. Follow the trail to the second platform to view the falls from the top. At the second platform we found a trail (un-marked but easy enough to see to your left as you are viewing falls) that leads you through the forest down to the water. A bit of scrambling here and there to get over fallen logs, etc, but easy enough to follow. See the photos of the guy in the orange shirt, the rainbow over the falls, and the up-close one at the base of the falls... Much better than any viewing platform and away from the large group of tourists.
