The trail is a moderate hour to hour and a half walk that goes around Deer leap Mtn and comes out at a beautiful overlooking a valley and a major ski resort. The significance of this particular trail is that it is the major intersection between the Appalachian Trail and Vermont's Long Trail.
Follow the blue hash marks to that intersection and turn left to go further up the mountain.
Trail is well marked with many signs.
Trailhead located directly on Vermont Rout 4
From Killington resort turn Left onto route four
From Pico resort Turn right
Look for the Long Trail Pub and inn.
Park in parking lot across the street,
Trail head is directly across the street from dirt parking lot
in the back of the lower parking lot on the east side of the Pub.
