This is a short trail that ends with an amaziing view of Lake Louise. The trail climbs 125 meters over 1 km. The trail itself is not very scenic until the viewpoint at the end. The view point is slowly being closed in because of the trees growing in front of it.
From the view point the trail follows some switchbacks to the shore line. We did not attempt this because there was snow on the ground and this part of the trail was not recommended for travel.
It is a nice trail for short hike when time is a factor.
In winter please check the local avalanche bulletins and conditions.
Between the parking lot and the canoe-rental kiosk is a trail that leads to the Fairview Lookout, Fairview Mountain and Saddleback trails. After 0.8 km when you come to a junction, take the left most trail.
