This was my first time here. It’s fall so leaves covered the rocky, rooty ground. There are several starting points. I used the main headquarters as my starting point. Although I couldn't tell you what trails I went on because there are quite a few unnamed ones. It is a blast on the bike. You can stay on the fire roads or you can branch off on some wild single-track. NO BRIARS!!! Or poison ivy for that matter. It was a fantastic fall day, perfect MTB weather. You can search "Foxboro State Forest" and find a map to download. There are however maps everywhere out there and the main trails/roads are marked.
Directions:
From the cape take 495 North to exit 14. Head north off the exit toward Foxboro Stadium. At the second light take a right (Thurston). There is a State Forest sign directing you. Follow that road (residential area) until you see a sign pointing to the left. Follow that road until you see the MA State Forest headquarters on the left, parking on the right. ENJOY!
