A great afternoon mountain bike ride takes you along the banks of the grand river from Brantford to Paris. It's a great mix of windy flood plain and steep and technical up and down trail along the river banks. There is some great spots to stop and watch the river flow, and hey, if it's hot, take a dip! You can extend it to bring in a little more fitness as it ends up at the cambridge to Brantford rail trail system.
I've biked in a lot of places now, and this remains one of my favorite.
Directions:
Exit at Oakpark road off the 403, turn left (south) follow through the industrial park, and once you are heading east, there is an entrance to a gravel pit on your right, just after that, find the break in the fence and off you go!!
