A short half mile loop around Hathaway's Pond. Singletrack, very easy and short

but good for a beginner just trying to get used to mountain biking. Not very

technical, but there are two steep pitches with exposed roots and rocks that could

be challenging for a beginner. On a sunny day, it makes for a nice quick loop.

There are other trails in the area that could lead to an extended ride.

Directions:

Short half mile loop around Hathaway's Pond in Hyannis/West Barnstable. Enter

parking area on the left side of Phinney's Lane heading towards Barnstable Village.

Go next to the beach house and enter the trail, keeping right of the marked rock

300 feet after starting on the track.
