A great network of trails around lakes and ponds, close to the city, well used. Can be combined with the longer Lakes trail for a full day of hiking and fishing. There are a number of cross-country ski trails in this area also, that can be used for more hiking and longer ski trips.
From the parking lot go left on the trail that follows the first Hidden Lake. Keep right at the intersectikons at the end of the lake. Go up over a ridge and look down onto the next lake, then follow the trail back to pond and returning to the main trail leading back to the parking, for a nice short loop.
Directions:
From Whitehorse cross the Yukon river bridge and head into Riverdale along Lewes Boulevard. Take the 1st right(past lights) onto Nisutlin drive and turn left off Nisutlin onto Chadburn Lake road just before the fish ladder. Go about 2km up a steep hill and down alongside Schwatka lake on your right. Take the first clear dirt road on your left and drive until you encounter a parking area at the first Hidden Lake.
