If it's dry, it's not bad. If it's wet or damp, it's a bear. This one has embarrassed many overconfident climbers.
Pitch 1: Power-layback the crack to the ledge, then follow the crack to the top.
Directions:
From North Conway head North on Route 16 to the traffic light at River Road (at citizen's bank). Go left onto River Road and follow it over the Saco River and continue past west side road to the entrance to Echo Lake State Park - Cathedral ledge drive in and park before the highway gate. Look up and left for a 70 foot cliff through the trees. Follow yellow markers to the cliff.
