This is one of the easier trails in Acadia National Park. Most of the trail is flat and runs along the shore of Jordan Pond. There are a few small sections where you'll need to scramble over boulders which is why the park service gives the trail a moderate rating. There is also a section that consists of you walking on planks as that section of the trail cuts through a wet area. Overall this is a nice calm trail that proivdes great views of the pond and surrounding area. If you get hungry stop at the Jordan Pond House for one of their famous popovers!
Directions:
The trail is easily accessible from Jordan Pond House or a parking area a little further north on the Park Loop Road. If you are already hiking, there are several trails that run into the jordan Pond Trail. The Deer Brook Trail, Bubble Rock Trail, South Face Trail and Pond Trail all run into the Jordan Pond Trail at different points. A trail map of Acadia will be helpful to navigate with.
