A GVRD standard trail leads from the parking lot a short distance to a bridge and picnic area. It is perhaps five to ten minutes to a view of Cliff Falls. On my last trip there, January 03, the falls were roaring, as heavy rain and snow melt had put Kanaka Creek into a torrent. There are a number of short trails in the area and you can also follow a trail to the fish hatchery.

Directions:

Take Dewdney Trunk Rd. in Maple Ridge and turn south on 252nd St. Travel to the end of the road to the parking lot near a grassy sports field. The trail starts to the left of the ball diamond.

By MSARPosted By: MSAR  - Sat Nov 01 13:27:43 EST 2003 Not Rated Comment Yup, another one. Abbotsford is a long way from Ridge, especially if you're hiking!
By trailpeakPosted By: trailpeak  - Sun May 18 03:58:11 EDT 2003 Not Rated Comment Hey Kurt here .. will add Maple Ridge soon, and Ucluelet, and, a few others soon ...
By Urban trekkerPosted By: Urban trekker  - Tue May 13 22:40:42 EDT 2003 Not Rated Comment Yes I know that Kanaka falls is in Maple Ridge but there doesn't appear to be a listing under closest city for Maple Ridge so I used Abbotsford instead.
