This is relatively easy hike to an active Fire Look that provides fantastic views of the Kananasksis valley and lakes.

Directions:

Paved pull off on the west side of Highway 40 about 8km south of the gate into Peter Lougheed Prov Park.

Go around gate at pull off, over Pocaterra creek and head south following old fire road. Head south on trail known as Whiskey Jack.

It's a fire road and the lookout person does drive it on occasion

Downside only minor challenge was figuring out we had to park at the boulton creek trading post.
Comment trail starts near the restaurant.

while trail is easy to follow and relatively smooth, it gets a slightly steeper towards the end.

Went out in late september, lots of bear prints in the mud, be bear safe!

Great views from the top, even on a cruddy day
