Paved pull off on the west side of Highway 40 about 8km south of the gate into Peter Lougheed Prov Park.

Downside The hike is all uphill all the way Comment This is a great way to get a panormaic view of the area. The trail to the lookout can be boring so it is best that you start from the pulloff on Highway 40, 8km south of the Kananaskis Lakes Trail intersection. This reduces the hike to 2.5 km one way as opposed to 7 km one way from Boulton Creeek

Downside only minor challenge was figuring out we had to park at the boulton creek trading post.
Comment trail starts near the restaurant.

while trail is easy to follow and relatively smooth, it gets a slightly steeper towards the end.
By mmaltaisPosted By: mmaltais  - Tue Sep 01 23:26:02 EDT 2009 Not Rated Upside Great hike to get you moving, doesn't require a lot of time; all uphill Downside all up hill :) Comment Bit confused at first when trying to find it from the Boulton Creek parking lot, but once I got on the trail it was super easy to follow.

Went out in late september, lots of bear prints in the mud, be bear safe!

Great views from the top, even on a cruddy day
