Now used by the NCC as a form of yardworks, the old Keyes Supply close to the original Zaggermans (where my mother worked in the 1950s) has a classic design possibly going back to the 1930s.
Keyes supply seems to have had a history that includes distributorship of auto parts, appliances, and other manufactured goods. Just down the street the old City of Ottawa works buildings, this building may be one of the few industrial buildings left close to Lebreton Flats on the way to Hintonburg. It's got an interesting design to it, commercial yes, but, it seems to have an art-deco influence which would make it significant in it's place in Ottawa industrial/business history. Exact date of construction unknown. In one of the images, you can see the old City of Ottawa Works building on the other side of the street. Could these buildings be saved and put to community use, a creative commons perhaps and be recognized as the fringe of Lebreton Flats industrial sector that still exists.
This area is also being studied by the city and the NCC (oh not not again) for renewal, you can find details here: http://www.vo-ao.ca/images/pdf/bayviewsomersetreport.pdf.
There seems to be no consideration for the Keyes Building, however, there is some consideration being given to the old City of Ottawa works.
