Elevation Gain: 122 m (400 ft) to forks - 1.6 km; 1006 m (3301 ft) 12 km for whole traverse.

This is an easy and very popular trail which follows King Creek through a high-walled canyon. It has many log creek crossings and lots of exploring opportunities for kids.

Directions:

Thr trailhead is on the east side of Hwy 40 (Kananaskis Trail) across the hwy from the offical entrance to Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, about 40km south of Hwy 1.
