The Lois creek trails are close to the Townsite subdivision in Kimberley. These trails are a mixture of double track and single track in mature forest, logged areas, and along the creek. Generally beginner to intermediate riding and skiing here with a few steeper sections of loose rocks and roots.
There is a nice 6 km round trip hike to the Tea Spot from the 8th St entrance. Follow the old road, past Elko cutoff and up the hill, keep left and past Lois lake. Then continue right fork up hill to 401 and follow this opast the Chute trail. You come to a logging road, cross it and continue across a few meters left. Another km of larch and pine forest leads you to a nice lean-to shelter, the Tea Spot. To get back, continue on this A-frame trail (with views of Mt Fisher), to the P Junction. Next right will lead you to Elko cutoff and another right to get back to the Old Road junction which leads you back left the way you started.
Trailheads are located in the Townsite subdivision area:
Park at Eighth Avenue where it interesects Elko St.
