For many years Middlesex Fells has been a very popular spot for Boston area mountain bikers and hikers. "The Fells" is just 7 miles north of downtown Boston and offers exceptional trails.

Mountain biking is allowed at the Fells, but is limited to a 6-7 mile loop. This loop is well signed and is a great mix of singletrack, steady climbs and fast descents. This is the only trail opened to bikes, so please respect this.

The rest of the park is filled with serene hiking trails that wind through the forest and around a large reservoir.

The Fells does get crowded, expecially on weekends, so ride in control and be aware of bikers, hikers and dog walkers.

Also please note the park is closed from January 1st through April 15th.

To support Middlesex Fells please visit www.fells.org.

Directions:

There are a few ways to get here, the easiest I find is to take 93 to exit 33 (route 28N), proceed halfway around rotary and take South Border Road for Bellevue Pond.
