Maudsley State Park is located along the Merrimack River and is filled with beautiful trails, scenery, and gardens. It is a great location for trail and nature walks, picnics, mountain biking, etc. It costs $2 to park, but it is worth it; annual passes are also available. It's great for outdoor enthusiasts and also for people who love historic sites and gardens.
Directions:
From the North and South: Take rt. 95 to exit 57 (Rt. 113). Follow Rt. 113 East for 1/2 mile and turn left on Noble St. At stop sign turn left onto Ferry Rd., bear left and follow signs to Park. Parking will be on your left.
From the West: Take I-495 to exit 55 to Rt. 110 east. Continue 1 mile to Merrill St., turn right at second light. Continue on Merrill St./Spofford St. for 1.5 miles. Turn right before stop sign onto Ferry Rd. Follow signs to park.
