The Metacomet trail goes north-south in the whole state, but this small section is great and offers some great rock climbing. From 1 mile in there are 4 different climbing spots; Porcupine Hole, Green Wall, Will Warren's Den Boulders, and Rattlesnake Rock, which is the main cliff. They are in that order, all right on the trail. The trail is well worth hiking even for non-climbers. Great views are to be had from the main cliff.

Directions:

TH is located on Rt. 6 in Farmington. Coming from Rt. 10, it's about half of a mile, on the crest of the hill, on the right side of the road. Just pull off the road on to the dirt bank on either side of the radio station driveway. Do not park in the driveway, do not walk up the driveway, it's private property. The trail is 10 feet up the pavement, on the right.
