A wide variety of terrain, good rooty soil, and relative lack of underbrush.
Trails are being added or modified all of the time, but the maps give you a good idea of the area. Keep in mind that other people use and build stunts in this area, so while we endorse the use of this area, you do use it at your own risk.
Most of the trails were cut within the past three years, begun by former BS exec and founder Adam Bailey, and now under the direction of current DH co-ordinator Brian Coutts.
Directions:
If you are in the Thunder Bay, follow James St. south as it splits left (east) from Montreal St. and crosses the Kaministiqua River. Turn right (west) on Chippewa Road and follow to Mountain Road. Turn left on Mountain Road and take the next left into the parking lot of the old Mt. McKay Ski Area.
If you are on Highway 61, turn east (left if leaving Thunder Bay, right if going to Thunder Bay) onto Chippewa Road and follow to Mountain Road. Turn right on Mountain Road and then turn left in the parking lot.

Upsidelots of well built stunts, awesome flow, skills from medium to double ddddddds.
Downsideclimbing waists lots of calories that could be better spent going downhill.
CommentI have heard people compare it to whistler, nope. but the trails are well built and there is plenty of stuff to enjoy/kill you there. go with a buddy. start small if you are learning, 'cause there is not much room for error. I had a blassssst!
