Mt Warner is what I call a gem off of RT 47 in North Hadley.
It is formed by a runoff of the CT River, is flatwater and not built up at all.
Yesterday I went canoeing there and saw a Grey Heron and 2 Beavers.
Put in is just North of the Dam, paddle North and find the inlet at the far end of the pond to a small curving stream if you have the time. Wildlife is abundant there, dawn and dusk are the best times to go. When water level is low, it is more challenging to follow the small stream, so check for water level conditions.
Directions:
Mt. Warner pond is off of RT 47 in North Hadley. RT 47 is off of RT 9, about 3 miles off the bridge in Northampton. Go North on 47 for about 2 miles, and right after the dam, there is a very small grassy parking area that has a paved driveway that you can back up on and unload.
