Just off the inner loop of the beltway is a hidden bouldering treasure that has an excellent topo published for free on Dr. Topo. The guide is a great reference tool for the North West Branch boulder field. There are many fun unique problems, and it's easy to get to.
Directions:
This urban bouldering spot and hiking trail is located right near the Trader Joe's strip mall on Columbia Pike (29). Park in the parking lot on the east side of the road just before the strip mall. The trail is obvious as it leaves the parking lot.
