This is a level paved trail along a former railroad corridor. Excellent views of nearby Holyoke Range, wetlands, farmland, bird and mammal habitats.
Great for beginner cross country skiing and best in fresh snow. EMS in Hadley rents cross country skis for the day. Road biking and roller blading is also awesome on this paved rail trail.
Directions:
There are 2 parking areas which are easy access to the trail. One is in back of the Mountain Farms Mall in Hadley. The other is at the Northampton Bikeway off of Damon Road at exit 19 off Interstate 91 in Northampton.
