This island is the outer island in Casco Bay. It is next to Junk of Port. You can pick a number of different routes getting to the island. There are also many launching points. East End Beach in Portland, town landing in Falmouth and just over the bridge on Counsins Island in Yarmouth. Due to the stiff winds and strong tides, this paddle is best done buy snaking though the island and not just straight to the Outer Green. Do not do this alone! Take all emergency gear. There is about 1 1/2 miles of open water. Watch for heavy boat traffic. Lobstermen will not move for you, get out of their way.
