From the parking area the trail crosses a footbridge over the Dore River. From there the trail is very well maintained all the way to the cabin, 7kms. further along. There are a few log bridge crossings and most have a hand rail to assist you with your virtigo. Beyond the cabin you can day hike to Ozelenka lake up on a bench above the cabin to the south. Head west from the cabin and you'll find a great waterfall and pool that would surely offer relief on a hot afternoon.
The cabin it self is stocked with stove, cookware, fuel and sleeping pads as well as a wood stove. The nightly cost is $10.00 p/person and if you go, contact Glen Stanley(from McBride)for reservations and payment.

Directions:
From McBride, travel west on hwy. 16(yellowhead) to the Dore River road. From the hwy., follow this FSR for 19 kms. always staying to your right at any forks.
