Palisades-Kepler is a wonderful place to hike. On the six miles of trails, walkers can often see a variety of wildlife, including white-tailed deer and wild turkeys. Many species of trees, shrubs and flowers are also present along with innumerable species of songbirds.
4 miles west of Mount Vernon or 16 miles east of Cedar Rapids. It's on the left from Mt. Vernon or right from CR. Flow the long round throw the park and you will arrive to a dead end with parking in front of the Cedar River. Can't miss the trail at the end of the road.
