Hydroline was a long, open, gradual uphill for about 4 kms. Elk Pass was scenic and mostly downhill or flat. Fox Creek and Boulton Creek was a a narrow trail surrounded by a thick forest - very beautiful.

Visit the Peter Lougheed Park Visitors Center. Great displays, a relaxing room with a fireplace, and a parks person to help you with your questions.

Directions:

Go 49.7km S of TransCanada #1 on Hiway 40 and turn west into the PLP. Between ~Dec 15 and June 15 hiway 40 is closed at the turn so it is very easy to find.

For this section of trails, once you turn off #40, drive 2.2 km and keep to the left. Drive 9.6 to the left until you reach the Elk Pass Ski Parking lot.
