Description

Mostly moderate hiking till about the last 2 km. Then a big push over the ridge into Pickle Jar. The fishing is so good it is like "Catching fish out of a pickle jar". Great for Family.

Hwy 40 to Pickle jar lakes day use area

Downside Trai leaving basin can be dangerous when snowed over or very wet. Comment Beutiful place, managed to land 5 cutts despite heavy snow (in August!!!). Only place in Alberta with purebred native cutts.
